Think we need more creativity and risk-taking (like we all did 30 years ago) to find the next version that will make a difference.
Mark Wall
Thriving Community Marketplaces
mark@thrivingmarkets.comUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06555015645990762185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5502353615641758366.post-39718079285923258952009-09-07T11:21:09.230-07:002009-09-07T11:21:09.230-07:00Thank you Margaret and Micheal. Vance is one of the authors of The New Farmers' Market: Farm-Fresh Ideas for Producers, Managers & Communities. Vance and I were the first two organizers hired in L.A. to start farmers' markets 30 years ago. Vance worked for the Direct Marketing Program of the State of California and I worked for the Interfaith Hunger Coalition. Thirty years later, we are still going at it. Who was the group or person urging attendees at this event to press Congress to keep the program funded? Some of the FMPP's designers in the 2002 Farm Bill and continued advocates like to know to whom we can turn when we need to push for more funding.

Thx.
Margaret Krome, Michael Fields Ag'l Institute, East Troy, WI

(also grassroots sustainable ag appropriations campaign coordinator with the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition)
mkrome@sbcglobal.netAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06264971176440206483noreply@blogger.com
